Reproductive Health & Access

Women and girls in Indiana should have the freedom to make decisions about their healthcare.

From advocating for scientifically accurate sex-education for K-12 students to advancing policies and programs that will improve maternal and infant outcomes, we are committed to ensuring that women receive the access and care needed at all stages of their reproductive lifecycle.  This includes contraception, fertility treatment, pregnancy, miscarriage & stillborn care, and abortion as well as the new data and options to be made available to women during menopause.

Did You Know …

Our lives are in danger when the government makes decisions regarding women’s healthcare. Together, we can demand the services and support we need to live long, healthy lives.

Sex Education

Girls in the United States are getting their menstrual period 6 months earlier on average than in the 1950s, and some girls are starting menstruation as young as 9.  For girls to grow up healthy and with agency over their choices and body, they must receive medically accurate sexual education.  And education shouldn’t stop with girls; boys should understand the reproductive lifecycle, risk of STIs, pregnancy prevention and other important issues like consent.

Reproductive Care

From the onset of puberty to the end of our reproductive lifecycle, women deserve access to care that prioritizes our autonomy, health and safety.  Advancing laws that safeguard a women’s ability to make decisions about her own body is paramount after the reversal of Roe vs. Wade (2022).

Maternal & Infant Mortality

14 OB units have shut down across Indiana in the last five years due to staffing shortages, declining birth rates and low Medicaid reimbursement rates.  Indiana already has the 3rd highest maternal mortality rate in the country, and our current policies are exacerbating the lack of OBGYNs who want to work in Indiana causing a lack of prenatal and post-pregnancy care in the state.
