Join us for a live-streamed discussion between Martha Hoover, founder of Patachou, Inc., and journalist Diane Willis. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the food industry particularly hard: 80% of employees laid off during the pandemic were restaurant workers. Women, immigrants, and people of color, who make up the majority of restaurant employees, have been disproportionately affected by restaurant closures and layoffs. Martha will discuss these and other impacts of the pandemic, as well as the Patachou Foundation's efforts to deliver 4000+ meals a week to IPS students affected by food insecurity.Visit our Facebook page on Friday at 11am to engage with the panelists in real time!
