Why it matters:
In Indiana, student IDs have long been a primary form of voter identification—up to two-thirds of students at an on-campus polling site reportedly used theirs in the 2024 general election.
Senate Bill 10, signed in April 2025 and effective July 1, 2025, now prohibits their use entirely.
Voting rights and advocacy groups like Women4Change and Count US IN argue that the ban places an undue burden on young voters and is a form of age-based disenfranchisement.
By sharing your experience via the Women4Change survey, you help shed light on the real-world impact of these policies—enabling stronger advocacy, better resources, and tangible change for student voters like you.
