UPDATE 6/20/17: Great news! Carmel City Council unanimously passed the resolution calling for legislation to support independent redistricting reform.
UPDATE 6/16/2017: The resolution will be on the Carmel City Council agenda on Monday, June 19. If you live in Carmel, please contact your council member before the meeting to express concern about gerrymandering and our support for this resolution. Ask your council member to join at-large Councilor Ron Carter (the resolution's sponsor) by signing on as a co-sponsor. We urge you to show your support by attending Monday's council meeting.

ORIGINAL NOTICE 6/1/2017: We hope the Carmel City Council will join communities around the state in support of a model resolution (initiated by Common Cause) in favor of redistricting reform.
Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard has expressed his support for reform and Carmel Council President Sue Finkam has distributed the text to all members of the council.
Now it is up to us. The resolution may be on the Carmel City Council agenda as early as mid-June. If you live in Carmel, please contact your council member to express concern about gerrymandering and our support for this resolution.
