2019 Election Game

All You Need to Know about Your 2019 Municipal Election

What is the game?

This 2019 Election Game is a matching-style game that familiarizes users with the offices up for election in Indianapolis/Marion County. The goal is to match up city-county councilors and the mayor to their respective duties.

Why did W4C create this?

Our mission is to equip and mobilize women to engage effectively in political and civic affairs in order to strengthen our democracy and to advocate for the leadership, health, safety, and dignity of all women in Indiana. An important part of effective civic and political engagement is education. This game tool is to be used to help our members learn more about their local government.

What can users gain from it?

Users can test their knowledge on the city-county council and mayoral responsibilities, then share it so others can learn the importance of both offices. Your vote this fall impacts the effectiveness these municipal departments in their respective duties.

What can I do next?

Even though local government does not have the same funding and appeal of federal offices, it is by far the most important level because it is the closest to its voters and provides day-to-day services. In order to hold our officials accountable and elect the best candidates, we have to get out to vote on November 5th!

You can register to vote, get your polling location, check your registration status, and see who is on your ballot here: https://indianavoters.in.gov
