| Dear Changemakers,
Safety is not a luxury. It is not something we earn through status, zip code, or silence. It is a human right—one that too many Hoosier women still go without.
This month, we’re centering safety and security. Because whether you’re a mom in Muncie, a nurse in Evansville, a student in Bloomington, or a retiree in South Bend, you deserve to feel safe—in your body, in your choices, and in your voice.
We know that real security isn’t just about laws and policies. It’s about access to healthcare. It’s about having a job with dignity and pay you can count on. It’s about knowing that when you vote, your voice matters. And it’s about knowing you’re not alone in this fight.
Across party lines and life stages, safety is something we can all agree on. And it’s something we can all fight for—together.
Let’s raise our voices, not in fear, but in power. |

| Safety In Democracy at the Ballot Box |
| Indiana ranks 50th in voter turnout due to some of the nation's most restrictive voting laws. And with proposed changes at the federal level, including the SAVE Act, your vote could be at risk. The proposed SAVE Act would require proof of citizenship to vote, a barrier that could silence thousands of eligible Hoosiers, especially seniors, domestic violence survivors, and rural residents with limited access to documents. Your voice is your power. Voting is how you protect it.Here’s how to take action right now to ensure your vote counts: Check your voter registration status—make sure your name and address are current. Know the deadlines for registration, requesting a mail-in ballot, and early voting in your county. Make a plan to vote by mail, early in person, or on Election Day. Call your U.S. Senators and urge them to oppose laws that restrict voting access. Volunteer to help others, especially first-time voters or those navigating ID requirements.
Protecting democracy starts with protecting each other’s right to participate. Don't wait. Speak up, show up, and vote. |

| Demand Access, Not Obstacles |
| In more than 30 Indiana counties, women lack access to basic healthcare services—from cancer screenings to postpartum care. When care is delayed or denied, it’s not just inconvenient—it’s dangerous.
Health is security. Every Hoosier woman deserves timely, respectful, and stigma-free access to preventive, reproductive, and maternal care—no matter her ZIP code. Here’s how you can stand up for greater access to care: Share your healthcare story—personal experiences can shape policy and break down barriers. Advocate for local clinics and telehealth, especially in underserved rural communities. Support legislation that expands maternal health, rural care access, and reproductive health services.
Your voice can be the catalyst for care. Speak up—and help make Indiana a state where health is within reach for all women.

| Workplace Safety Is a Women’s Issue |
| In Indiana, too many women face unsafe, inequitable, or even violent conditions at work. From sexual harassment to a lack of proper protections, the risks are real, and the consequences can be life-changing.
Women make up the majority of workplace violence victims requiring time off, and Indiana still ranks in the bottom third nationally for work & family protections. Safety at work isn’t optional. It’s essential.
Here’s how you can help: Advocate for stronger workplace protections. Support laws that hold employers accountable. Use your voice to demand better conditions for all women.

| Every Woman Deserves to Feel Safe |
| Whether at home, at work, at the doctor’s office, or at the ballot box, safety should never be negotiable. Yet across Indiana, too many women face silent struggles, unseen risks, and systems that fail to protect them.
That’s why your story matters. When women share their experiences, we don’t just speak truth—we build bridges. We create understanding, spark change, and remind one another that we’re not alone. Your voice could empower someone to speak up. It might guide a policymaker. It could be the encouragement another woman needs to keep going.
Share your story with Women4Change Indiana—because every voice has power, and together, we’re louder.
