  • Congregation Beth-El Zedeck 600 West 70th Street Indianapolis, IN, 46260 United States

A solid knowledge and understanding of the Constitution and the structure of our government is fundamental to responsible citizenship and being an effective advocate and leader of social change.

The Women4Change Indiana Task Force Restructuring + Activism is sponsoring a session on civic literacy with Sheila Suess Kennedy, Professor of Law and Public Policy at the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.

Professor Kennedy is a Faculty Fellow with both the Center for Religion and American Culture and the Tobias Center for Leadership Excellence, an adjunct professor of political science and founder of the Center for Civic Literacy at IUPUI.

In addition to authoring eight books, Professor Kennedy has published numerous book chapters and articles in scholarly journals and law reviews. For 14 years, she was a columnist for the Indianapolis Star, and she continues to write regular columns for the Indianapolis Business Journal and for Inequality.org. Professor Kennedy blogs regularly at www.sheilakennedy.net, and is a frequent contributor to other blogs and periodicals.

Join us for a very enlightening and energizing presentation that will inspire and motivate us in whatever path we choose to bring about change!
